The Elkay 98530C kit consists of a field-adjustable elkay 3/2 compression valve paired with a dual element preset 0.5 temperature and pressure relief valve. Both valves are available separately, but only as a kit. If the kit is needed please ensure that it has both an elkay 3/2 and the 0.5 preset pressure and temperature relief valve.
The Elkay Kit Regulator/Spring helps to stop the accidental draining of hot water, and precludes the use of bubble-jet drain pumps. It also helps to reduce the noise created by high pressure air lines on gas water heaters.
