Schlage's F40 series of privacy lock sets are California Security Law (AB 1953) compliant. The F40SAC code (Bright Chrome) is designed to be installed on a hollow core wood door with minimum 1 3/8" thick stile, and comes with a spring-loaded latch, 16080 latch strike and mounting hardware.

The Schlage F40 is a part of the Schlage Primus commercial grade locking system. The door lever lock is comprised of a cylinder, faceplate, and trim ring. Through-bolt sit behind the trim ring in order to prevent the latch bolt from retracting.
