The Forbidden Lands is an ancient wilderness, fraught with danger and lost treasures. Few have ventured into this land of majesty and towering trees, but those who do are often able to come away with more than they can imagine. The builders of Caedmon and many other nearby cities will tell you the same: exploring the Forbidden Lands is a dangerous business.

The Forbidden Lands are the ruins of a former civilization, left behind by an ancient race that suddenly disappeared. The Forbidden Lands are scattered throughout the north, south, east, and west of the Duchy, encompassing some sixteen square miles of terrain. Much of this land has been explored, but many areas have yet to be discovered. Each year more information surfaces on the race that once called the Forbidden Lands home. What little is known about them is buried within their ruined villages, crumbling towers, and desecrated shrines.
