Once again, Functional Devices introduces a new and unique product to its relay product line up. The RIB043P is a 480v 3 Pole 20A Enclosure Relay, featuring a compact design for use in Micro Grid Systems where space is limited. This 4 x 5 x 2.25 inch package contains high quality solid state devices to handle thousands of cycles.

Functional Devices Enclosed Relays can be used for applications involving explosion proof and/or hazardous environments, by the use of an enclosed relay required by CSA C22.2 #34 and OVPD.

This relay is enclosed in a metallic case. It includes the power source, relay and power source blocking contacts, an overload protector, a thermalovervoltage protector, a safety contact and various terminals.

An enclosed relay with an external actuator for control of a DC motor. The compact, rugged enclosure protects the internal components and also allows easy mounting.

One of the key advantages of this relay is the mounting in a plastic case which provides an IP54 protection level. This IP54 enclosure protects the device against ingress of dust and water when mounted in an enclosure or equipment. It is suitable for indoor installation only and is not protected against contact with high pressure water while under pressure. The IP54 protection level was tested by placing the enclosure horizontally on a turntable and spraying it with a jet of water from a nozzle set at a fixed angle.
