This is a 120v NC solenoid valve, it's commonly used in kitchens and commercial kitchens where there is 120v electricity, this is an "open while energized" valve. It means that it will open the pipe or hose and turn off once electricity goes off at your house. This is good to use if you want to powered a pump with water when there is electricity, but don't want the water coming in when there isn't electricity.
