The Gear Motor with Fan is an AC motor that mounts to your ice maker. The fan sucks air over the evaporator coil fins and forces the cold air through the tubing of the evaporator and into the condenser unit where it is then vented outside. This helps cool the condenser unit and reduces the amount of time it takes to make ice. The amount of air required is determined by how many evaporator tubes are installed.
