SIGNAL LIGHT;5/16 RED 250V
The GE 381017 signal light is a hard-to-find, general purpose drop-in replacement for the discontinued bulb type 381017. It is also known as 5/16-RED 250V and offers an estimated life of 20 years at 3 hours per day.
Made by GE. This is a red - hard to find!- 250 v 5/16 diameter bulb. The diameter or width of this bulb is 5/16, that's just slightly over 1/4 inch wide. It's 2 1/2 long and has tin plated leads with rubber boots on them to be able to withstand the high voltages involved in this size bulb.
This bulb is used as a tail lamp on a sign vehicle. It is a 250 volt, 14 watt bulb. The actual glass portion of the lamp is 5/16 inch in diameter by 1/2 inch long. The cladding is 3/8 inch in diameter. The overall height of the lamp is approximately 1 inch high overall, and it has an outside diameter of 1 7/8 inches with terminals that are about 3/16 inches apart. It has two leads for power input, one lead 2 inches long, and another 1 inch long. Made by GE.
This device consists of a 2 watt red light bulb and a 5/16 to 3/8 inch adapter that fuses the bulb into the circuit. Plugs into 110V wall outlet.
