American Standard Warranty Lookup

The American Standard toilets come with a lifetime warranty on Chinaware for the original non-commercial owner who owns the toilet or any other product. There is also a 10-year warranty on all the mechanical parts of the toilet. A one-year warranty is given on the toilet seat that comes with the toilet. The warranty on the seat is applicable only if the seat is purchased at the same time with the toilet. If any of the materials and workmanship on the plumbing products is defective, American Standard will take care of all the repairs and replacement of the products if necessary.

Only the original owner and the original installation of the product are covered with the warranty. When claiming the warranty, you are required to produce a proof of purchase, such as the sales receipt. Note that the warranty is not transferable to subsequent users. The only exception for the transfer of the warranty is if the plumber or a contractor is the one who made the product purchase. The warranty in this case, is completely transferable to the first proper owner, for whom the product was purchased and installed.

American Standard Warranty Registration

The registration process of the warranty is more often than not completed via telephone or the internet, depending on the warranty registration instructions for that particular plumbing product. Warranties that are meant for non-commercial owners do not necessarily apply to the commercial owner installations. The said commercial warranty lasts one year and is applicable to the toilet Chinaware and mechanical parts. For the toilet seat, a one-year warranty is also set but only if the product is purchased with the toilet at a go.

The use of products in non-residential and rental units is covered under the commercial owner installation warranty.

Note: the limited warranty does not apply to products that have not been purchased from unauthorized American Standard sellers. In the event that the products are purchased from any other sellers other than the authorized ones, the company has the right to reject the warranty. This is inclusive of unauthorized internet sites.

The warranties provided do not apply to local building code compliance. The local code compliance should be checked by the plumbing contractors just in case. It is important to keep in mind that the normal product’s wear and tear is not covered by the American Standard warranty.

If the product is moved at some point from the original station in which it was installed, then the warranty is null and void. The warranty is also void if the product/toilet has been subjected to damage, accidents or misuse. Also, if the product is not rightfully installed using the American Standard instructions, it is still not viable to be covered by the warranty.

If the products need to be repaired or exchanged, the warranty does cover the labor costs and removal or installation costs. For damages, either consequential or incidental, American Standard does not cover their repairs. The limited warranty of the consequential and incidental damages may not be applicable in some of those states. Products meant for fitness and merchantability purposes are limited specifically to the duration of the warranty provided. The warranty limitation may not be applied to you if you are in some of the states where there are no limitations.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which some of the rights may vary from state to state.
