Danze Faucet Repair

Danze faucets have a variety of models and prices, ranging from $30-$7000 depending on the level of luxury. The faucets on the lower end pricing are mainly “ball style” which may tend to leak at times after continuous corrosion, while the higher end pricing falls under the “ceramic style”.

A Danze faucet may require repair for various reasons such as:

  1. Hard water may erode from the faucet valves.
  2. They may be clogged up.
  3. The faucet may be leaking if they become loose.
  4. Repairing the Danze faucet might be necessary, and tools needed for repair include screwdrivers, a new cartridge, an adjustable wrench and Allen keys.
  5. When the faucet leaks or is clogged, the valve needs to be cleaned or replaced.

To repair the valve, remove the handle. Remember, the type of handle may vary depending on the kind of model that you are currently using.

There are two main types of Danze faucets: single lever faucets or two-handled faucets.

How to Remove the Danze Single Lever Faucet

  1. Turn off the water under the sink to reduce pressure. Plug your sink from losing other parts.
  2. Twist the handle to gain visibility of the small screw. Remove the small screw with a 4mm Allen key.
  3. Remove the handle to expose the cartridge. Inspect the body and bottom surface for any visible corrosion. If the cartridge is damaged, replace it with the new one.
  4. Follow the same procedure to remove the two handles Danze faucet. The only difference is that once you have the handles removed, use a wrench to remove the lock nut that helps secure the cartridge.

Danze Faucet Cartridge Replacement

After removing the handle from the Danze faucet, check for the valve seats for rubber gaskets and replace any that is found. Attach the new cartridge, then screw on the retaining nut and replace the handle. You are done replacing the cartridge for the faucet!

Repairing a Leaking Ball Valve Faucet

After the handle from the Danze ball-valve faucet is removed, unscrew the cap. Unscrew the retaining nut and release the ball with a pair of pliers or a wrench, and remove the gaskets and springs in the valve seat using a screwdriver. Replace the gaskets, springs and the ball if it's damaged.

Put everything back in place.
