Danze Opulence Kitchen Faucet Parts

Faucet Parts

The Ceramic Cartridge:
This is the mechanism that controls the flow of water and temperature. The ceramic cartridges are quite common in the Danze Opulence kitchen faucets and should be part of the main considerations when you are buying one. If the cartridge is corroded or discolored, that will not stop the water from flowing through. However, if the cartridge no longer functions as it should, you should replace it, or replace the entire faucet.

The Aerator:

Made of mesh, the aerator is located near the tip of the faucet. This part of the faucet breaks down the flow of water into multiple streams to dilute air with the water that flows from the faucet. Aerators usually give the feeling of high-water pressure while reducing the volume of water at the same time. This feature reduces the amount of water that splashes from the sink every time you use the faucet.

Spout:

The spout delivers the water to the sink from the body of the sink.

Faucet spouts are made in different designs. Gooseneck spouts have a high-arc elegant shape that comes in suitable for filling deep pots. Straight spouts have a low profile but with a long reach. There is also a spout design that is known as a shepherd’s crook and it is intriguing while offering clearance at the same time.

For the articulating spouts, they have multiple joints that enable the water stream to be directed exactly where it is needed.

Handle:

A faucet handle is what opens and closes the valve. There are two kinds: single handle and two handles.

Valve:

A valve is the part of the faucet that controls the flow and the temperature of the water. Faucet cartridge valves are what enclose the inner parts of the faucet into a single unit that is easy when in need of replacement. Valves can be made of metal or plastic material, and are also made of hard and smooth ceramic discs that prevent leaking. The ceramic material is resistant to hard water.

Body:

The part of the faucet where the hot and cold water mix is called the body. Hot and cold water are usually mixed in a one-piece casting in a single-hole body design which also houses the valves. The described body is found in one handle and two handle designs.

The joining of the valves is in a one-piece casting. One handle and two-handle design faucets have this type of body.

For the faucets that have a bridge design, there is usually a pipe that joins the two valves that mix the cold and hot water. However, this design is not that common among the faucets in the market.

Apart from the two types of faucet bodies, faucets have a widespread body. For this type of body, the pipe that mixes the hot and cold water is usually placed under the counter. This kind of body requires three holes.

Mount:

Mounts are what are used to attach faucets. An example is the deck mount which is the most common type. This mount is easy to install and is connected through a hole on the countertop/sink.

Model Numbers:

Danze has put labels on each one of their faucets to help identify them from each other since 2010.

The following are some of the locations where the labels can be found:

- On the underside of the handle canopy.

- Attached to the in-wall valve of the faucet.

- Behind the valve escutcheon that is on the in-wall valve.
