Hansgrohe Kitchen Faucet Manual

Over time, kitchen faucets' nuts may end up stuck in place. Getting them out could be quite challenging. It is recommended that you use a basin wrench to fix this.

You can also apply a spray lubricant to reduce friction. Wear a headlamp so that you can be able to see inside the areas that are out of reach.

How to Remove a Two Handle Hansgrohe Kitchen Faucet with Separate Sprayer

Step 1: Disconnect All the Water Lines

Before working on the faucet, shut off the water supply from the valves that are located under the sink. Loosen the nuts that are securing the hot and cold water lines to the faucet handle stems using a wrench. Pull the water lines from the faucet.

Step 2: Loosen the Nuts on the Sprayer

Loosen and remove the nuts that are used to secure the Hansgrohe faucet sprayer hose to the faucet under the kitchen sink using a wrench. Pull the hose and remove it from the faucet. Some Hansgrohe faucet models use a quick-connect connection method to attach the faucet sprayer hose. Use your fingers to compress the ring that is at the end of the connector and then pull it down to release the hose from the faucet.

Step 3: Loosen the Faucet Nuts

Loosen and remove the nuts that are used to secure the faucet handle stems to the counter under the sink. Use a pair of slip-joint pliers to remove the nuts and then proceed to remove the washers that are on the faucet handle stems.

Step 4: Remove the C-Clips

The C-clips are usually on the sides of the center stem of the faucet and near the bottom of the countertop. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the C-clip and remove the remaining washers from the center of the faucet.

Step 5: Pull Out the Hansgrohe Kitchen Faucet

Pull the faucet straight up towards you and off the counter. Then pull the sprayer together with the hose out of the counter at the same time.

Step 1: Disconnect all Supply Hoses

Use a wrench to turn off the water supply to the faucet and then turn the connecting nuts that have been used to connect the supply hoses to the faucet counterclockwise. Pull the supply hoses straight from the faucet and remove them.

Step 2: Disconnect the Faucet Sprayer

There is a sprayer hose to where the faucet is secured. Use your fingers to grasp the ring that is near the end of the quick-connect and push it towards the end of the connector. Hold the ring in place and then grab the connector and push it up.

Step 3: Loosen the Faucet Nuts

Use a pair of slip-joint pliers to remove the nuts and the spacer that secure the faucet to the kitchen sink.

Step 4: Remove the Faucet

Pull the sprayer head out of the faucet, and then the sprayer hose, and remove them from the faucet completely. Pull the rest of the faucet out of the countertop.

How to Install a Kitchen Faucet: Step-by-Step

  1. For Hansgrohe pull-out sprayer faucets - Thread the sprayer through the body of the faucet.
  2. Between the base plate of the faucet and the sink top, insert the rubber gasket on there and then create a watertight seal. If the gasket is not provided, use the plumber’s putty to pack the faucet’s cavity and then insert the body of the faucet through the holes that are at the top of the sink.

Use the mounting nuts that are provided and thread them onto the faucet shaft. Tighten the nuts firmly but not too tight after you have centered the threaded shafts inside the holes of the sink.

  1. Install the mounting nuts on the faucet. There is a special long socket that is provided by most manufacturers. Its purpose is to aid in the tightening of the mounting nuts. A hole in the socket guides the shank of a screwdriver as you tighten the nuts. This method is applicable even while mounting the faucet on an installed sink.
  2. When installing a pullout sprayer faucet or a faucet that has a separate sprayer, connect its sprayer onto the faucet body. Follow the manufacturer’s directions to apply pipe-seal tape. It is recommended to use an adjustable wrench to further tighten the connection.
  3. Add the counterweight. The counterweight is usually attached to the sprayer hose. They usually come with the pullout sprayer faucets and the faucets that have separate sprayers. The purpose of the weight is to help with retracting the hose back to its original position on the sink cabinet after you are done using the sprayer.

Place the faucet’s hot and cold water supply lines to the water supply shutoff valves where they belong, under the sink. If need be, bend the copper tubes that are coming out of the faucet gently, to access and connect the flexible supply tubes to them. Wrap the pipe-seal tape around the threaded nipples on the valves a couple of times and then connect the tubes. Use an adjustable wrench to tighten the nuts.
