Smallest Toto Toilets and How to Measure Toilets

Smallest Toto Toilets

Small Toto toilets are equipped with amazing functionalities, are great for small spaces, and are rather fair-priced. Here are some of the smallest Toto toilet models:

Toto Drake Toilets

There are two types of models of the Drake Toto toilets. Both of them have equal measurements of 26.38 inches long, 19.5 inches wide and 28.5 inches in height. The Drake round bowl toilet is the smallest Toto toilet.

The Toto Drake toilets are the shortest in length with a lower flush rate and dual flush capabilities. These models are quite efficient as they have a great flush with a clearly stated gallon per flush rate.

If you are on a budget or are looking for something quite small, the older Drake Toto toilet, or another toilet model is for you.

Toto Aquia IV Toilets

The Toto Aquia IV toilet models are the most compact and fully skirted of all the Toto toilets. The ones with dual flush capabilities are the most popular. The Toto Aquia IV toilets have the following dimensions: 27.56" long, 15.56" wide and 29.56" high.

The 27.56” long Aquia IV toilets are one of the shortest compact elongated Toto toilets.

If you install the Toto Aquia toilet on an exact 12” rough-in, the approximate length from the wall to the front of the bowl will be 28-¼”. This extra space is designed to maintain an adequate gap of ¾ of an inch in the wall when it is installed at an exact 12” rough-in distance. This distance helps to prevent the growth of mold and mildew in between the wall and tank.

There are more toilet models in the series that have different gallon per flush rates, different seat heights as well as other various features which cater to different customer needs and preferences. Currently, it comes with dual flush models with different gallons per flush of 1.28/08 GPF and 1.0/08 GPF respectively for saving even more water.

The Aquia Toto toilets have a clean and contemporary look. They are also more comfortable, as they have elongated seats, are equipped with water-saving technology.

Toto Aquia IV Toilet with Toto Washlet Electric Bidet Seat

This series of the Toto toilets are a two-piece that is elongated with a dual flush mechanism. It is also equipped with the high-end Toto Washlet and electric bidet seats.

You have an option of choosing the Toto Washlet electric bidet to go with the Aquis IV Toto toilets. There are two available Toto Washlet electric bidet models - models S500e and S550E.

The above-mentioned bidet seats have front and rear warm washers. They also have five adjustable temperature and pressure controls.

The S550e model has more features than the S500e model and is a bit more costly.

Keep in mind, the higher the flush rate, the more costly the Toto toilet will be. The available water flush rates are 1.0/0.8 gallons per flush and 1.28/0.8 gallons per flush in which case, you are allowed to choose your water consumption rate.

Toto Toilet Dimensions & Measurements

The following are the Toto toilet dimensions and measurements to keep take keen note of:

1. Toilet bowl shapes

Elongated toilet shape - Usually, in a Pear-shaped design, it offers a couple of additional comfort features. It is about 3” longer than a round bowl.

Round toilet shapeUsually in a circular design. It does not require a large room and is more than ideal for a small spaced bathroom.

2. Seat Heights

A toilet seat’s height is normally measured from the floor to the top of the toilet seat.

Standard height - This toilet height is typically 15-17" off the ground. The standard height toilets are the most common toilets used and are ideal for most homes.

Chair height - The chair toilet height is usually about 17-19” off the ground. These toilets usually have additional comfort features which are ideal for people with restricted mobility.

How to measure a toilet

It is important to buy a toilet that fits correctly. We recommend using a measuring tape to measure properly. Here are some factors to take note of:

1. The Toilet’s Height

To get the height of your Toto toilet, measure from the floor of the toilet to the top of the toilet seat. And then, measure from the floor to the top of the toilet tank. Make sure that your toilet fits into the same space as your old one if you are doing a toilet replacement.

2. The Toilet’s Depth

Take measurements from the front of the toilet rim to the back of the toilet and make sure to have at least 24” of space in front of the toilet. This will create enough room for you to move around in front of the toilet. The measurements are a way to make sure that the bathroom or shower door does not hit the toilet if you place it near the door.

3. The Toilet’s Width

Take measurements from the left edge of the toilet tank/seat to the right edge to make sure that it fits in your space. Make sure there is 30” of space for your toilet regardless of the position your toilet will be placed in the bathroom.

4. The Toilet’s Rough-In

Measure the distance from the back wall to the center of the rear closet bolts. The standard measurement usually is about 12” and sometimes 10 or 14”. Your rough-in measurements should be about these figures.
