"DCA

Honeywell "DCA" actuators are designed for control of air flow in combustion systems where precise, reliable motor position feedback is required. The actuator employs a chip absolute position encoder which is used to obtain feedback on motor position by converting the chip codes into count or digital signals. The drive circuitry will compare these signals with nominal setpoint values to determine if actuation or hold conditions have been met and will energize the motor drive accordingly. This device has a logic controlled, non-spring return direct coupled damper actuator with a potentiometer as its feedback mechanism.

DCA3160 is a non-spring return direct coupled actuator that is controlled by Honeywell's proven variable frequency drive technology. It features auto-tuning of the position of the control knob positions to enable easy installation and zero errors during commissioning of Damper Control Applications (DCA).

The Honeywell ML6161A2025 DCA has a core size of 1-3/8 in. (32 mm) and a plate thickness of 0.47 in. (12.1 mm). It is suitable for use as either a secondary or primary damper actuator, and is available with built-in end switches so that it will reset when the damper is returned to the start position."

Exceptional for use between forced air furnaces and hydronic heating systems, our non-spring return, direct coupled DCA is designed to allow the damper to open in response to temperature rise. When used with our line of DSD actuators, it allows a flow path to be opened or closed under thermostatic control. Our DCA also has a built-in thermistor that senses when the damper port temperature reaches a certain level, which can be used as an automatic control input on some heating controls.
