An Economizer is a system that recovers energy from exhaust air. It can result in an annual operating cost savings, especially when combined with variable frequency drives. The Honeywell Universal Economizer is a self-contained logic that automatically modulates the fan in response to varying outdoor temperatures.

Pair the Honeywell YL7220S7503-1 replacement economizer control with a Honeywell YC7300A1003 actuator for replacement economizers. The Honeywell YC7300A1003 is an Economizer Control with direct coupled air amplifier, BDP, DCV.

Economizers can automatically reduce the supply air temperature of a system by as much as 30 to 50F, raising overall system efficiency. This Y-Pack Honeywell economizer with direct coupled actuator allows exterior discharge ductwork to be plumbed through an interior partition wall via an insulated hose or duct. The 1/4" NPT connections on this economizer pack provide both liquid and air connections. Economizer must have continuous liquid piping and electrical power for it to function; liquid connection is typically drained from another device like a chiller or boiler.

The Jade Y-Pack replaces the mid size 60% and 80% air valves of a zone, while preserving and even improving performance. It also senses indoor and outdoor air temperature during heating periods to determine when to turn on the economizer function. Now you can turn off the outdoor fan motor at night or when room temperature is reached to improve operating efficiency of your system.
