This Johnson Controls 8388 door-mounted emergency release, is designed to open the 100A / 100A1 / 100AA and 100AA impact resistance doors in case of power failure or other emergency. This release mounts on the inside of the door and includes a two-pin connector for easy installation.

The 8388 is an adjustable, gravity-operated burner control. Sand pot type operation eliminates auxiliary air supply requirements. The 8388 operates through thermal contact between the heat exchanger and the heat sensitive element; therefore no solenoid is necessary. When changing temperature setting, there is no costly control tuning. The control switch remains safe in the "ON" position until reset occurs, eliminating inadvertent changes during maintenance or preventative replacement.
