Johnson Controls A421ABC-02 120/240V SPDT -40/212F 6' SEN

The Johnson Controls A421ABC-02 is a 120/240V SPDT -40/212F 6' SEN. This unit is NEMA 1 rated, while the wire leads are UL listed for direct burial. It has a current rating of 25A at 240V.

Two SPDT devices in one package. All are 120/240VAC, 40/212F, medium type switches. The A421ABC-02 has a knob for output selection, the A421C-02 has continuous markings around the circular cover plate.

The Johnson Controls A421ABC-02 120/240V SPDT wall mount actuator is rated at 10A@240V AC, 50/60Hz for temperature control and has a spdt (single pole double throw) control circuit. The positive and negative contacts on the actuator body accept wire size (AWG#) of 18-16. The actuator can be used on heating or cooling systems including boilers and chillers.

Standard Size Temperature Controls are the most popular controls used today. Temperature Controls are usually found in heating and air conditioning equipment. They have dual voltage for use on 208-240V or 120V power sources, and most models can be adjusted from 40 to 212F with an accuracy of +/- 3F. Most temperature controls are available in 120 volt configurations with 10 feet of lead length, 15 feet lead length, 20 feet lead length, 25 feet lead length, 45 feet lead length , 50 feet lead, or 100 feet lead length.

This temperature control element from Johnson Controls offers two limit functions in a single unit. The SPDT element can operate as a normally open or normally closed controller. For a normally closed setting, the element limits at a lower temperature and is automatically held at its set point until a different temperature command is issued. For a normally open setting, the element limits at a higher temperature and releases back to cool when a lower temperature command is issued. The Johnson Controls SEN (Selective Energy Notification) contact blocks out electrical current or de-energizes the unit if abnormally high temperatures are encountered to quickly return heating equipment to normal operating temperatures

FEATURES: 120V Primary - 240V Secondary, 25/40/50/70Amps, Senitivity of 0.55V @ 60 mA 28VDC, Contact Resistance .03Ohms Max, 5kVDC Min, 30kVDC Insulation Resistance, Nominal Current 12/24/36/48Amps at 120VAC, 6A@240VAC.

The Johnson Controls A421ABC-02 operates like conventional thermostat except that it contains built-in equalizing relay which equalizes heating and cooling times. As the temperature in the space to be controlled reaches the set point, the controller energizes the heat source for a pre-determined period of time. The heat turns off after this time delay, but if the temperature drops below the pre-set temperature during cooling, the controller will activate the compressor before returning to its timed cycles. If the temperature remains below thermostat's set point for more than 1"F (1/2"C), additional cool
