A Fusible link is designed to prevent circuit overload or short-circuit damage by automatically opening the electrical circuit before an overcurrent condition occurs. When heat is applied, glass pellets inside the fusible link melt at a pre-determined temperature then flow freely to separate the electrical contacts. A thermal reset feature allows the fusible link to resume its normal operation once the operating temperature returns to normal.

Check the link of your Johnson Controls FIELDDEVICE RS-311 against the picture and compare the model number with the existing link. If not a match, order a new link from US Interface.
