The V48AE-2 is a 1.25"-3-way, adjustable temperature control valve designed to control room air temperature in indirect water heating applications and high efficiency power recovery ventilators (HRV) where demand controls must be located away from engine package to optimize gas utilization and optimize energy cost savings. Valve body and assembly manufactured from thermoset plastic, metal diaphragm seat and seat seat ring make this a durable product. This valve is designed to thermally switch from open to closed, opening or closing as the ambient temperature changes.

The V48AE-2 1.25" 3-way water thermal expansion control valve is designed for domestic hot water or heating systems containing liquid refrigerant with ambient temperatures below 120F (49C). The controlled liquid temperature will be maintained within ±1.5F (±0.8C) of the setpoint determined by the anode/cathode assembly position and controls linkage setting.
