The Justrite Self-Closing Drum Cover converts open-top 30- or 55-gallon (110–200 liter) steel drums into fire-safe receptacles for combustible trash. A replaceable fusible-link assembly inside the cover melts at 165°F (74°C) to automatically slam the cover shut and extinguish flames if a fire ignites inside the drum.

Constructed of durable steel with a highly chemical-resistant powder coat finish, this cover attaches to a drum using only a screwdriver and wrench, and can be easily removed for emptying. It provides an economical solution for improving fire safety in industrial, MRO, and workshop environments.
