120V 1-1/2" 2-WAY N.C. SAFETY SHUTO
ASCO's 68673 is a 2-way medium pressure aluminum body normally closed fuel gas shutoff valve. The valve includes an external wire lead and an attached safety chain for secondary shut off.
The Direct Acting Medium Pressure Safety Shutoff Valve is used for fuel gas supply line applications. The valve body is constructed of durable, die cast aluminum and has a manual lever for ease of operation and adjustment without opening the valve body shutoff position.
If you have a water heater that uses directly connected gas, then you need this aluminum body pressure shutoff valve. It features durable aluminum construction, can be installed without disconnecting the fuel supply, and is UL and CSA listed.
The 68673 valve is a medium pressure direct-acting, 3-way normally-closed valve that opens in response to a rise in fuel system pressure above set point and closes in response to a fall in fuel system pressure below set point. It uses nitrile butylene seat packing, has a 20 Cv flow capacity and a 1.25 orifice size. This valve can be used with most LP gas appliances under 2" pipe size, has adjustable lift value (0-6) PSI set point, does not require external power to operate, and includes the regulator assembly and mylar seal and nut.
The ASCO 68673 is a 1.5" medium-pressure gas control valve designed for fuel gas shut off and modulating applications with a high-temperature rating of 400°F.
Power is essential when it comes to emergency shutoff valves and ASCO offers an extensive line of under pressure valves that meets UL and CSA standards. These valves are offered in a variety of designs, sizes and pressure ratings. Ascending to the safety standard that is set by these approvals, ASCO's position as the industry leader is one that they have earned not only because of their superior quality but also for their dedication to customer service.
The ASCO 68673 shutoff valve can be used as a safety device to control flow in piping systems. As the user actuates the manual lever it opens an internal valve allowing fuel to pass. When the user releases the handle, a spring closes the external valve automatically.
