SCREW, REAR AXLE 1CR- LEGEND II

When the SCREW, REAR AXLE 1CR- is not attached to its base plate, or if the plate is removed from the machine, it must be rested on a surface with the brake engaged (see Figure 2-4). Lower the wheel so that all of the weight of the tire and rim is resting on the screw. Lowering the wheel in this way places pressure on the axle against both sides of the rim at once. This results in maximum contact between both surfaces, ensuring that the wheel will remain securely mounted indefinitely.

Replace the washer and retaining nut that secures the drive axle on your vacuum cleaner. The Legend II screw is compatible with most Kirby series vacuums including the Legend 1999, 2000, and Flex.

Kirby Legend II or Kirby Heritage II/Ultimate G Series vacuum cleaner come with a rear axle screw. Replacing the screw on your Kirby Legend II or Kirby Heritage II/Ultimate G Series vacuum is easy if this screw becomes lost.
