Since it is the key component to the operation of the knob or lever, it can only be replaced by purchasing the complete assembly (which includes a new shaft and spring).

The SPINDLE & SPRING FOR L0170 SINGLE DUMMY thwarts all types of attacks, including bumping, picking, drilling, and punching. The spindle is a small piece of metal that fits into the cylindrical space in the lock's interior chamber. When the key is inserted into this space, it makes contact with the spindle and rotates it.
