This 4-1/8" selfeed bit features a 7/16" shank and is ideal for drilling wood, plastic or soft metals. The Silver Oxide cutter offers longer life than standard high-speed steel cutters and the top radius helps prevent bit balling. The selfeed tip speeds up hole starting and makes it easy to produce holes with consistent diameters. Soft start tips reduce torque for user comfort when starting holes in dense material.

The Selfeed Bit provides the most efficient method of boring holes in wood without tear-out due to it's shearing action. It is used to bore larger holes in which most large twist bits will not fit, then the hole can be finished with a standard twist bit or spade bit.
