The XL21 Series motor is designed for use exclusively with upright Oreck XL series vacuum cleaners; the motor is not made to fit any other brand of vacuum cleaner. This motor has been designed specifically for the XL21, XL600, XL700, and the XL750.

This is an aftermarket replacement motor assembly for your Oreck XL21 model vacuum. If your vacuum is making a loud grinding noise and you see the drive roller spinning very fast, you probably need to replace this part. This part is located underneath the cleaner body on the side of the brush roll.

This Oreck Motor Assembly has a four wire power cord with plug for your XL21 vacuum. The motor is for upright models only. If you feel that the cord and plug on your current motor is not securely attached, you may need to replace the entire motor assembly.
