PILOT SAFETY VALVE
Part Number 497765-1 Purpose Pilot Safety Valve 1/4 WO Description Gasketed Temperature Range -68 Degrees to +500 Degrees F Maximum Pressure 5000 PSI @ 100` F Max Operating Pressure 5000 PSI @ 100` F * * Design pressure is based on 30 x your operating pressure.
Pilot Safety Valve allows you to select water pressure from 80-120 psi without loss of pressure. The pilot safety valve is a direct replacement for all Vulcan spray guns, and fits inside the spray gun handle. When set at 80 psi, this unit will reduce unwanted "gushing" and splatter when spraying smaller droplets. At 120 psi, the unit will produce extra volume to cover large areas.
The Pilot Safety Valve is ideal for use with Energizer Industrial/Marine (Ei/Mar) and R-12 cylinders to provide oxygen for breathing air. Using a floating, in-line pilot indicator, it prevents overcharging of the connected cylinder by automatically shutting off when the storage pressure has been reached. The pilot also indicates when activated that safety factors are working properly. A distinct audible click is heard when the cylinder charge has sufficiently increased to shut off gas flow. This valve is available
This new pilot safety valve replaces the older version #SPV50 of Vulcan Pilot Safety Valves. To guarantee your investment in the Vulcan product line, only use genuine Vulcan parts. Features: Compatible with all Vulcan pilot burners and controls, High quality materials and construction, Complete with set screw for easy installation, Replace defective valves immediately #SPV50
The Pilot Safety Valve system is designed to prevent excessive pressure buildup in the event of a hose rupture. The pilot-operated relief valve opens by spring action if excessive pressure is detected. This allows any excess pressure to vent safely without rapid loss of fluid from the system. The pilot-operated relief valve should only be adjusted or replaced by a qualified service technician.
