The Pilot Tube is a replacement part for the Imperial Series Burners. The Pilot Tube is constructed of heavy gauge brass and stainless steel. It has two ports, one for liquid and one for gas.
Piloted Brass Burner Assembly. The pilot tube is the small tube that the pilot burner heats. The combination of the control valve and air mixture controls the amount of flame that is produced by the pilot tube. If your pilot tube is not lighting, chances are that you have a bad control valve or air mixture control assembly.
The Pilot Burner Assembly is the hottest of your burners and used when grilling. This Pilot tube is to be installed on the burner housing, and its purpose is to pilot or light the gas to obtain the desired unit temperature.
