The FJC6040, FJC Side Can Tap, is the most common style of tap used on R12/R134 automotive refrigerant side cans. It was designed to meet the performance requirements of KAFCO, but it also meets SAE J2154 for use on R12-based automotive air conditioning systems to allow venting of any system with a low-pressure switch, provided that a filter/regulator is installed ahead of the can tap. It will also accept 1/8" NPT hoses and connections for use in fixed applications such as retrofitting.
