Flame Amplifier, Dynamic Self Test

A flame amplifier uses air and gas to self-test the Flame Signal Output section of the flame sensors by stimulating the flame pattern. If excessive air or gas is detected, it will shut down all FSDs for both LADAR and RADAR systems if necessary. The Flame Amplifier, Dynamic Self Test operates at a low line voltage and features a high level of protection from adverse operating conditions.

The Flame Amplifier, Dynamic Self Test function provides a dynamic calibration of the flame output signal. It is activated by an internal thermocouple, and calibrates the Flame Amplifier circuitry periodically with no external test equipment needed. The output is adjustable (0 to 10V) and referenced to a selectable value.

The R7851C1008 Flame Amplifier, Dynamic Self Test (FAST) Module provides the central control logic and test signals to allow local furnace control systems to run diagnostic flame amplifier tests.

When connected, the flame amplifier may be used for dynamic self-testing of the unit.
