The RELAY - MAIN POWER for Globe - Part# 952-9 control board is located at the bottom of the cooktop. Its purpose is to switch heat from the burners on and off when a surface burner control knob is turned.
The RELAY - MAIN POWER for Globe - Part# 952-9 is an ideal replacement for your worn-out part. This relay replaces the high voltage (HV) relay on all current Globe brand water heaters, with the exception of R410a models.
The Globe Model #952-9 Relay - Main Power, is a factory replacement part. If your transmission or distribution board is not working properly or suddenly shuts off in the middle of a job it might be time to replace this relay.''
Keep your outdoor living spaces running smoothly with the RELAY MAIN POWER Kit. It works with all current models of the Globe controls that have Relay Power output. Simply replacing your old, damaged or missing RELAY MAIN POWER will extend the life of your control system.
Needs three (3) AAA batteries. The relay is located at the Globe factory under the large composite terminal block. There are three (2) relays - main power, gas tank and front burner. I was told this is a safety feature to protect the unit from power surges such as lightning or when updating components or moving it from place to place. Some units have two relays - main power and front burner. This seems to be a case where you don't need both of them. Did you get one of the new or old relays?
The Globe Relay is a main power supply unit that converts voltage to 12 Volts DC. This power module can be used with a wide variety of electronic devices including video projection equipment, LED screens, lighting and more.
These are after-market power supplies to replace the factory originals. The outlets on the replacement supply will be arranged differently than the stock outlets. However, these new supplies will still have two 120V outlets and one 12V outlet that connect to the main board at the bottom of the Globe unit with a flat 3-way splice connector. One ten foot output cable is included.
