The 42-101956-10 pressure switch assy is used on Ruud gas water heaters that are 1.20wc with a gas valve. The pressure switch assy is designed to control the burner supply when the water temperature rises above 199f. The pressure switch has a large hole for a thermowell probe if desired.

The Ruud Supply Pressure Switch Assembly is ideal for replacing pressure switches on select air conditioners and heat pumps made by Ruud. It is rated 1.20wc, red in color, and installs into the evaporator coil of the unit to measure evaporator suction pressure. The pressure switch assembly also features a 90° operating angle. This means that it will usually turn on at a temperature just off of freezing point and shut off well below boiling point for best results.
