The Low Ambient Control Kit is for use on Rheem or Ruud gas furnace models MMBB, MMSC, MMVB, MMVC, MMWB, XMBB, XMMA. This kit is used to delay heating starts due to low outdoor ambient air temperature.

In cold weather, heat pump systems need more power to operate. That's where the Low Ambient Control Kit comes in. It contains a low ambient pressure switch and a bypass damper that act as a four-way valve to allow more hot air into the home for warmer temperatures or more cool air into the outdoor unit for lower temperatures.

Rheem's Low Ambient Control Kit (47-25343-82) is perfect for heating and cooling systems operating in colder regions of the country. The control uses a copper tube refrigerated coil to quickly take the outside air and move it through the house for much faster, more effective heating/cooling cycles. This unit can be added on at any time and is simple to install. It is designed to work with both gas fired and electric heat/cooling systems.

Rheem's Low Ambient Control Kit allows you to match the capacity of your Rheem water heater, Condensate Tank or storage tank to the incoming chilled water supply providing maximum energy conservation and efficiency.

The Rheem Low Ambient Control Kit 47-25343-82 includes a 40-Amp outdoor reset relay, a 25-Amp cover mounted indoor electrical receptacle and a wire lead assembly. It is designed for gas or heat pump water heater models only and replaces part numbers between 47-25294-01 through 47-25294-05. The Rheem Low Ambient Control Kit 47-25343-82 is UL listed and intermatable with most major brands of residential water heaters.

The Rheem 47-25343-82 Low Ambient Control Kit allows the installer to control the temperature of the water flowing to a gas-fired hydronic heating system. Features include Weatherproof enclosure

Rheem Low Ambient Control Kits replace the control for furnaces for models FCE036, FCM036, FCP036, FCR036, DFP036, and DFR036. The Low Ambient feature allows operation of these units down to 32°F. These Rheem Low Ambient Control Kits are factory assembled and NOT a box kit.
