Ignitor overview

Rheem's IGNITOR gas valve is an automatic stay-open gas valve that allows continuous pilot operation. The IGNITOR has a 900 degree F open flame, and is efficient for both low fuel consumption and pilot ignition. It is ideal for wood burning fireplaces, pellet stoves, water heaters, gas logs and other direct vent appliances.

The Ignitor remote provides fingertip access to the ignition and electronic, set-it-forget-it convenience from across the room. With a simple press of a button, you activate three levels of lighting (light comes on at ambient level). A programmable multi-stage shutoff feature maximizes energy efficiency.

The Ruud Ignitor ignites gas appliances up to 1,000,000 BTU's. It is made of a long-lasting nickel alloy construction and has a brass heat terminal.

The RHEEM/Ruud Ignitor is an electronic ignitor that has been designed to fit a variety of gas furnaces manufactured by RHEEM/Ruud. It is used to ignite the pilot light on these furnaces to ensure the furnace fires up properly.

Rheem Ignitors are designed for Ruud HVAC systems and commercial gas ranges and ovens. Rheem ignitor magnetrons are contained in a nylon sleeve designed to resist the corrosive effects of burning fuels. It is easily installed into the gas valve housing using two screws that clamp the ignitor magnetron in a high pressure chamber. Seven units are used on most six burner stoves. Twelve units are used on most deluxe models of four burner stoves.
