Rheem's T&P Relief Valves are factory installed in most residential and commercial gas water heaters. They allow excess pressure to bleed into the home to protect the tank from rupturing in the case of a gas leak. The Valves have an easy-to-read pressure gauge that indicates through color codes when something is wrong (for example, if a fault code is generated). The Ruud SP9013D is a T-/P- style Relief Valve designed to replace Threaded Water Relief Valves for 3/4" copper pipe. It fits most gas and electric water heaters providing protection against the dangers of excess pressure in the water heater system. The valve features tempered glass that enables viewing of the water temperature, pressure setting pin adjustment and trip lever, and allows it to be locked in the OFF position. A Dual Outlet design provides safe connections for both top and bottom outlets.

The Rheem SP9013D is a 150 psi Steam Pipeline Relief Valve. This item has a maximum working pressure of 150 psi. It should be mounted vertically for proper operation. It's recommended that no downstream items be installed on the discharge port.
