The Dual Capacitor is designed for use on most single end, constant voltage air conditioning and heating systems where auxiliary or standby systems are not required. It is located in the indoor section of the system with the condenser. The run capacitor provides run capability for the indoor fan motor.

The S1-024 has a maximum device rating of 70 microfarads at 500 volts. It is a series thread and has a case style of round with lead wires extending from the bottom of the base. The continuous operating voltage of this capacitor is 500 volts and the dielectric constant of the material it is made from is 5.

The Run Capacitor is designed for use with high voltage,air cooled ac motor drives where a series capacitor is required for operation. The unit is capable of withstanding high operating temperatures and will not be damaged by accidental contact with the motor windings.
