The "S" is a pneumatic, spring return, normally closed limit switch, designed for use with air cylinder systems. This limit is commonly found in dual line & piston actuators. It has a standard body size with a 2" (51mm) mounting hole center to center and a 1-1/4" (32mm) body diameter for easy installation.

The York Limit Switch 32-40Amp for Heat Pump or Pool Protection Switch is designed to work with York 1/2" Compressor Limit Controls. It is a must have when using a York Air Handler during a heat cycle as a float switch will not cut off the power to the limits due to being an on/off switch only.  York Limit Switches allow for a separate source of power that is not  bypassed when the limits are tripped and require service.
