Blower wheels promote smooth rotation in blowers, allowing them to provide a constant volume of air for a longer time period. Blower wheels are made from a variety of high performance materials and can withstand a wide range of temperatures. Depending on the application, they can rotate from either direction. Available with solid or open hubs, they can be furnished with or without flanges and mounted in vertical or horizontal configurations.

If the impeller shaft has been broken or removed from the blower wheel's grease seal ring, it must be replaced. The purpose of the grease seal ring is two-fold: it prevents the intrusion of contaminants into the bearing chamber, and it establishes a channel for excess bearing oil to drain away.
