The Schlage Spring Latch is designed for both residential and commercial applications. It is used to secure a door that opens in only one direction and is commonly found on closet and pantry doors. The key secures the latch in the locked position, providing greater protection against unauthorized entry. It uses a patented AND-BAR™ design which allows the door to close even when it is unlocked, eliminating the need for a dummy knob or deadbolt when used with an existing door knob set.

The Schlage 16-210 Spring Latch is an intermediate, spring actuated lock that uses a 160 Lever spring. The key must be rotated 90° to unlatch the lock. This product contains a 2 1/8" (54mm) backset. It is recommended for use on hollow metal or solid wood doors not exceeding 1 3/8" (35mm) in thickness.
