The SLC 581 is a mortise cylinder for use with a mechanical lock. This NEUTRAL CYLINDER has the same diameter as a residential cylinder and is the only mortise cylinder available in a neutral finish. The SLC 581 can be keyed to any Schlage commercial key system and will work with any door bored to accept a standard residential door knob set, as well as many other brands of locks by using various adapter kits.

This Schlage Commercial Mortise Cylinder is designed for use in commercial-grade locking applications, including exterior and interior doors. It features a 25 lpi (lines per inch) pin tumbler mechanism, which is tamper resistant and pick resistant. The cylinder fits in a 2" backset; it is designed to be operated by a finger turn cylinder and the trim finish is satin nickel.
