Its low shaft speed of just 25% of that of the main propulsion engine means compact and powerful performance, while the increased overall propulsive efficiency makes the best possible use of the available power. The high blade tip speed ensures quiet running at low engine rpm. The SOLA PROPY/T SS 60-130 HP 15 is a multi-bladed folding marine propeller. It has an aluminum alloy solid hub, and a bronze bearing, and is made from high performance 420 stainless steel.

The ultra-high brightness SOLA® Y/T SS PROP and SOLA® Y/T Redhead PROP consist of a very low emittance YAG crystal, which is up to 10 times brighter than the conventional YAG crystals used for a similar emission wavelength. The emission spectrum runs from 785 nm to 814 nm (depending on the aspect ratio). These laser beams are not only brighter then those from low emittance or double clad crystals but also brighter then rf coupled plash tubes or other master-oscillator-power-amplifier (MOPA) based solid state lasers.

With a SOLAS Y / T shaft and silicon bronze bearing system, the 60-130HP motors are lightweight, highly efficient, and capable of running cool. Available in both feathering and non-feathering options.
