It includes an over temperature switch that will sound an alarm when 7 degrees Fahrenheit or more past the set limit on the thermostat. This product lets you know if your water heater needs service to ensure safe and efficient operation.

This replacement water heater outlet over temperature switch by Rheem is designed to shut off power to your water heater in case the water temperature becomes too high. This thermostatically controlled switch is easy to install, and designed to replace a 24 volt outlet, like many newer models of electric water heaters use.
