The SEASTAR HELM 1.7 is one of the 5 designs that are being built for our sponsored teams and it will be used in our continued competition in the Transatlantic Race to Bermuda.

The SEASTAR HELM 1.7 is the first of its kind. It has a variety of design attributes that no other boat in this class has. Naturally, it is constructed of super tough 100% fiberglass construction. It has an aggressive looking "1 Ton" hard chine hull design for finesse fishing, and smooth operation during low speeds, something most boats in this category are horrible at!

The SEASTAR HELM 1.7 is a completely new design, combining the best elements of small craft and cruising yachts for extended range travel. Her shallow draft keel, heavy displacement lines, composite construction (including the deckhouse), internally supported mast, and direct rudder hinge system give her the safety, speed, and freedom of maneuverability of a small craft along with performance characteristics approaching those of a cruising yacht.
