The AMTROL T-5 Thermal Expansion Tank is a pressure-regulated, thermal expansion tank designed to relieve pressure when your system does not have a static head. Featuring an extra large capacity design for greater flow capacity in expansion mode, this thermal relief tank will outperform the competition.

The Amtrol therm-x-span expansion tank is used to prevent a water heater from leaking due to excessive thermal expansion. The therm-x-span is compatible with hot water heaters having integral pressure and temperature relief valves."

This tank is designed for the heating industry. It is used to prevent excessive pressure build up in a hot water or steam supply system, and may be set to release at the following temperature levels: 150°F (65°C); 180°F (80°C); 200°F (93°C); or 212°F (100°C). The T-5 THERM-X-SPAN thermal expansion tank features a 1/4" female NPT outlet, and will accept an air charging port kit.
