Between Two Cities

Between Two Cities is a board game that lets you lead an incredible array of cities across North America. A roll of the dice tells you what needs you'll be paying attention to: jobs, population, or new buildings. Your job is to make each city as prosperous as possible by the end of the game.

Between Two Cities is a game of negotiations, tile-laying, and scoring. Each player is simultaneously the mayor of two different cities: New York and Paris. You must make both cities as productive and valuable as you can (and often shake them down for money), while unfortunate events and uncooperative opponents can throw wrenches in your plans.

A dynamic new board game from the makers of Sentient, Between Two Cities offers a fresh twist on strategy and resource management. Players develop their city through three modes: tile placing, a parade, and a swap. Early tile play will require some forethought, since the tiles will ultimately make up each player's main street. But the Parade and Swap will keep everyone guessing until the very end.

Between Two Cities is a 2-player game about building cities. In each game, you will be a mayor of a small village. You will build neighborhoods, farms, factories, and landmarks; then populate them with citizens to earn points. Points come from the citizens themselves — each citizen has its own unique skillset and will award you with points at the end of the game based on how well you used that skillset in your city.

In Between Two Cities, you play the role of a newly hired mayor, helping to build up a city between two other cities. As mayors on the board, you and an opponent alternate placing new development cards each round. Use developments to make clever use of your dice actions or to stop your opponent from scoring big with their dice actions. The game ends with a final scoring phase in which players gain points for meeting secret objectives throughout the game. The player with the most points after final scoring has won the game!

Can you connect two cities on a map? In Between Two Cities, players spin wheels to determine how many steps they're allowed to take. One wheel is divided into 12 pie slices showing one to six steps. The other has 12 pie slices showing one to five steps. After counting out their moves, players place their pawns on the map, aiming to connect different cities — all while trying not to leave their opponents with any paths to follow.

A friendliest game of competitive city planning!
