The Flame Sensor, with connector, is directly coupled to the safety microswitch in a LZ24SS-8 or LZ24NT-8 gas valve and senses the pilot flame. The ceramic material of the sensor will not support combustion and minimizes the chance of false ignition from nearby open flame sources such as halogen lights.

Flame Sensors protect against flashback ignition when LPG is used as a fuel.

The flame sensor, which is made by gas companies, continuously monitors the flame inside the thermal detector. If the flame goes out or weakens, the sensor immediately shuts off the flow of gas to prevent human injury and damage to property. It is important to note that this product cannot be sold separately and must be installed together as a kit.
