Honeywell's V5853/V5863 pressure balance valves are designed with an internal float that regulates flow to prevent water hammer, backflow and surges. The valves have a fully adjustable flow range of 0-30 gpm to meet specific system demands, and maintain a preset pressure with the modulating piston. When flow is increased, the piston closes to restrict flow as required.
