This assembly has the combination of features that provide a dependable, long service life. Wilkins reduced pressure principle assemblies are designed to be used with either leaded or cast iron pipe systems.

The body of this assembly is grooved and the flanges are flared. This assembly is designed to meet the lead-free requirements of ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1, Section 21, Table 5, by using metallic inserts in the threaded portions only. Body and seat materials conform to ASTM A47 and ASTM A182; body is cast from 304L stainless steel or 316L stainless steel; seat is cast from either 303 or 316 stainless steel; all fittings conform to ASTM F593.
