This product is a 1/2" union globe 2-way air valve assembly. It contains separate on/off valves for both streams of compressed air, which allows you to control both air streams individually. This product can also be used as a standard globe valve assembly.

The 38473 is a Union Globe 2-way Non-Opaque pneumatic solenoid valve. It can be used to isolate the dirty air from the clean air, and to direct flow. Typical applications include medical air systems where it can be used to prevent dirty air from going into a clean area, or it can be used for a clean area to go into a dirty area by opening a normally closed port and closing a normally open port.
Union globe valves have been designed to regulate air flow in heating and cooling applications. These valves require compressed air from a pneumatic system or from a compressed air storage vessel.\u00a0 There are two types of union globe valves: Normally Closed (NC) and Normally Open (NO). In an NO valve, the globe is always exposed to the atmosphere, while in an NC valve the globe remains isolated except when pressure is needed to control the flow through the valve.
Our 38473 2-way valve has a N.O. design and a 1/2" inlet and outlet.
With an off position for manual operation, pneumatic pressure ranges from 20 to 65 psi, and globe valve operates by float style.
