The E-40-SS is a stainless steel entry phone for use in doors or walls with special features designed to endure the harsh environment of the outdoors including freeze-thaw cycles. It has been engineered with Viking's patented pressure equalisation system and is available with optional enhanced weather protection (EWP). The E-40-SS can be flush mounted in single gang boxes, surface mounted, or surface mounted in a stainless steel box.
The E-40-SS is a factory enhanced weather protected stainless steel entry phone with automatic disconnect and blue LED. Up to 4 wires can be paired to the E-40-SS, including Exit/Auxiliary Contact. Extra long 15' white wire leads with 6" pigtails.

The E-40 is the only Viking enhanced weather protection entry phone model that has the ability to take a flush mount using the VE-3X5 plastic cover. Available in three versions, the E-40SS (single station), the E-40-SS (single station with blue LED) or the E-40KWE (kit for two stations).
E40SS is intended for use with Electric Door Strikes. Use the E40SS to control access to a single door or entry point to your home, office, or apartment. The heavy duty stainless steel and solid state electronics of the E40SS allows for easy installation and service. Use with an optional VE-3X5 switch having EWP feature for access during all weather conditions.
Designed for use with the Viking E-40SS, which is available separately, this entry telephone is ideal for locations where the telephone connection is not easily accessible. The E-40-SS with Enhanced Weather Protection has many features including a stainless steel construction, automatic disconnect, tone ringer, pause button and blue LED backlit buttons.
