The 38-740 is a 3/8" stainless steel atmospheric vent. It has a factory installed and pre-assembled atmospheric vent ball and spigot assembly, Swing Check with dual rubber gaskets with worm gear bushings and bushing washers. It has a PVC (rubber) SAE 45 x SAE 45 body with an internal stainless steel diaphragm. This part meets ANSI C12.20 standards for atmospheric vents.

The Zurn 38-740 Stainless Steel Backflow Preventer is made of stainless steel with a three pipe 5/8 inch inlet and outlet. The main features include a 3/8 inch SAE 45 body, dual check assembly, atmospheric vent and sanitary coated threads. This product has been tested by the National Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (NAPHC), and the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) to provide dependable quality in every unit.
