US Medium Tank M4 Sherman (75mm) - "Betty" - Steel Division: Normandy 44
This New Model of the Sherman Tank will replace the current M4A3 Sherman model in US Tank Platoons as well as Tank Companies. The US is still deciding whether or not to order this time around, but if they do your Quartermaster should have a priority request for ammo and fuel to replenish the new tanks.
The M4 Sherman was the workhorse tank of the Allies in North Africa, Sicily and all through Europe. Easy to build, easy to use - it is now easily assembled by modelers new to building armor! This is the first of a line of kits that allows basic armor models to be built without gluing or painting using just a single sprue. The "Utility" category had three sets with some overlap, but now they have been combined into one deluxe set.
The M4 Sherman was the primary medium tank used by the British and US combined arms, replacing some of their previously used light tanks. The Sherman saw action from the days of the North African Campaign in late 1942 until the last battles of World War II in early 1945.
The M4 Sherman medium tank was the workhorse of US armored tank battalions. It first entered combat in North Africa with the British Army and was employed in all branches from the US Navy to the Soviet Army. The M4 series is still in service today.
The M4 Sherman was the first tank used by the US Army in battle. It was deployed in large numbers in North Africa and Europe in 1942–45. The design of the tank had its origins in a request from General George C Marshall, the then US Army Chief of Staff, for a new medium tank capable of replacing the M3 Medium tanks used throughout World War II.
The M4 Sherman tank is a versatile medium tank that replaces the M3 Lee. The hull-mounted 75mm howitzer can fire high-explosive rounds for blasting enemy emplacements or can shoot armor-piercing shells to take out enemy tanks. Its significantly more powerful than the M3's 37mm gun and can match some of the earliest German tanks.
